So when I closed one part of the course, I noticed I couldn't remember the spelling, or meaning of a specific word. My suggestion is to make more of a planning in which every new chapter begins with a small part from the part before. |

| 43 | kkt1986 | 4 | This course is very useful. It's somewhat humorous and gives a lot of practical information. I used it together with the puzlo, and almost feel ready to speak Esperanto after two days of study. I particularly enjoyed making conversations by listening and speaking during the pauses. Also, I found it very helpful to translate words from english to esperanto by typing, and I think it should be encouraged more, but not made "compulsory." I think it helps to familiarize oneself with the basic forms of words, as well as spelling, which is particularly useful for beginners. This would be my recommendation to user "animalis," who in his/her review of the course says he/she needed repetition and couldn't remember how to spell words. This is how I did it: I selected all the words at the end of each course, and upon completing it chose "problem words" and repeated those. In the end I tried all the words over again to see if I could remember all of them. If not; repeat process! I would like to try similar courses for other settings: Randomly meeting an esperanto speaker on an airplane (or airport) or in other situations would open up to conversations on other topics. Perhaps you already have more of them; I haven't looked through all your courses yet. On improvement: In the part where we translate words from english to esperanto (or esperanto to english), it would be a good idea to note what type of words the english words are. For example "idealist" can be an adverb as well as a noun in english. That's not the most confusing example, but there are words in there that got me confused. My simple solution: "Idealist (noun)." |

"Kio" demandas pri ĝeneralaj, nekonataj aferoj; aŭ pri la rolo, funkcio, stato, profesio ktp. de personoj kaj objektoj. "Kiu" demandas pri individuaj aferoj, personoj aŭ objektoj. "Kiu estas vi?" "Mi estas Johano Kutz." "Kio estas vi?" "Mi estas studento." "Jen estas tri diversaj libroj. Kiun vi elektos?" "Kion vi diras?" |

Learning to read and write a language has always been the easy part for me so this method made me really work on the listening and speaking part of the course. Something I really disliked about this course, however, was how specific I had to be with my answers in the Question-Answer section. The vocabulary tests at the end could also get annoying because I didn't phrase the word in a certain way. Like it would mark "live" wrong when the correct answer was "to live", which is what I obviously intended - I think this should be reviewed and revised. That's all, and over-all thanks for that sweet course! |

It is difficult for me to believe that Zamenhof, being a Pole, could possibly have intended that his language would be so spoken. Better, I would think, to find speakers from a Romance language country, or better yet, from Poland. |
